Dear Principal, greetings from The Vedic Educational and Charitable Trust.

Education is the foundation of every progressive society, and behind every successful student stands a dedicated teacher and an inspiring school leader. In loving memory of Mrs. U.P. Sarada (a late Trustee of our Trust whose quiet strength and steady leadership shaped its founder, Dr. Sindu Srekumar, and its mission), we are proud to institute the Shrimati Sarada Memorial Awards 2026 to honour exemplary educators who have made a significant contribution to the field of education.

We cordially invite your esteemed institution to nominate deserving candidates for the award categories below.

Award categories

Three honours for a lifetime of impact

A school may nominate one candidate in each category, and a nominee may be nominated for only one category.

Lifetime Service in Education

For a career of unwavering dedication and excellence in education.

Eligibility
  • Minimum 20 years of dedicated service in education
  • Unwavering commitment, integrity and excellence throughout the career
  • A role model who has positively influenced students, colleagues and the institution
  • Currently serving, or retired within the last three years

Best Teacher Award

For excellence and innovation in the classroom.

Eligibility
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
  • Excellence in classroom teaching and student engagement
  • Innovative and effective teaching methodologies
  • High professional ethics and commitment
  • Significant contribution to students' academic and personal development

Outstanding Principal Award

For visionary leadership and institutional growth.

Eligibility
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Principal / Head of Institution
  • Visionary leadership and educational excellence
  • Promotes teacher development, student welfare and institutional growth
  • Remarkable contribution to the overall development of the school
Nomination guidelines

A few simple rules to keep it fair.

Please read these carefully before you submit a nomination.

Start a nomination
  • One candidate per category

    Each school may nominate only one candidate in each award category.

  • One category per nominee

    A nominee may be nominated for only one category.

  • Use the prescribed form

    Each nomination must be submitted on the official nomination form with accurate, complete information.

  • Jury decision is final

    The decision of the Jury Committee is final and binding. The Trust may withhold an award if standards are not met.

  • Attend in person

    Award recipients are expected to attend the award ceremony in person.

What to include

Each nomination should include the following.

  • Completed nomination form
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • A brief profile of the nominee (max 500 words)
  • Service Certificate issued by the School / Management
  • Recommendation letter from the Principal / Correspondent / Management
  • A write-up (300 to 500 words) on why the nominee deserves the award
  • Copies of significant certificates or supporting documents (if any)

What is the last date to submit?

All nominations, along with the required supporting documents, must reach The Vedic Educational and Charitable Trust on or before 20 July 2026. Incomplete nominations, or nominations received after the deadline, will not be considered.

Who selects the award recipients?

All nominations are evaluated by an independent panel of eminent educators. The decision of the Jury Committee is final and binding, and the Trust reserves the right to withhold any award if the required standards are not met.

Do winners need to attend the ceremony?

Yes. Award recipients are expected to attend the award ceremony in person to receive their honour.
