Our mission
To remove the barriers (poverty, disability, circumstance) that keep children from learning, and to place education firmly within their reach.
That every child, whatever their circumstances, deserves the chance to learn, and that education is the kindest, most lasting gift we can give.
We are a registered charitable trust working at the meeting point of education and compassion.
Our work grew from a single conviction: that no child should be denied learning for want of money, sight or support. Today that conviction takes three forms: direct educational aid to children in need, schools that give the young a joyful start, and honours that celebrate the teachers who make it all possible.
Everything we do is guided by transparency, dignity and the belief that a good education can change the entire course of a life.
To remove the barriers (poverty, disability, circumstance) that keep children from learning, and to place education firmly within their reach.
A society where every child learns with dignity, and where the teachers who guide them are honoured for the futures they build.
Compassion, transparency and respect. Every child is treated with care, and every gift is used honestly and well.
Founder, The Vedic Educational and Charitable Trust
Under her guidance, the Trust supports blind and needy children, nurtures schools, and honours outstanding educators through the Shrimati Sarada Memorial Awards, instituted in loving memory of Mrs. U.P. Sarada.
Mrs. U.P. Sarada, a late Trustee of the Trust, was its quiet strength and its guiding spirit.
A woman of remarkable resolve and steady leadership, she shaped the life, the values and the vision of our founder, Dr. Sindu Srekumar, and through her, the very heart of this Trust. Her conviction that a good education can lift and dignify any child still lights our way.
The Shrimati Sarada Memorial Awards are instituted in her loving memory, so that the strength, integrity and leadership she embodied live on in the teachers who shape young lives.
